The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is proud to offer a Youth in Government Delegation for students in grades 7–12. This engaging program helps young people develop leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills while gaining a deeper understanding of how our democratic system works.

Through hands-on activities, participants learn the legislative process, including how laws are created, debated, and passed. Students work collaboratively with peers, practice respectful debate, and build confidence in public speaking—all in a supportive and educational environment. The program will conclude in a mock Model Government session that allows students to apply what they’ve learned.
